Chronomatic - second hand jumps when stopping chronograph

When I stop the chronograph, the second hand jumps back between 0.5 and a full second. I took it to my watch guy (same one that serviced it after I bought it) and, let's say he was less than hopeful.Any ideas what could cause this?........
