Thoughts on Italian Design

How do you feel about Italian/Swiss watches? I have to admit I'm no fashion plate, but some of the Italian inspired offerings are pleasing to me. I sold a Locman 1970 series a couple of years ago that I miss now. Not the quartz mineral version that the TV show sells, but the older, 2824 powered model. I bought my Potger Pietri because of it's Italian guadiness, and my grail would be the Panerai Slytech, which I doubt I'll ever own. What do you guys think of Italian style? Be easy on me.........
