Ventura v-tec Alpha

My dad was digging through his stuff today when he found this! He handed it over to me and told me that he found this and remembered his brother bought it. He asked me if I know what it is, I did some research by typing in the back and found out the brand and the model. Ventura v-tec Alpha, W15S.Unfortunately the battery doesn't work anymore so I will need to change it sometime or bring it to a jeweler. Here are some pictures.........

opinion about strap for Oris Dizzy Gillespie

I'm trying to figure out if a light brown/tan strap would make the dial more obviously brown, or less obviously brown than the black strap does. Unfortunately, I don't have a light brown/tan strap of any size to use as a basis for comparison! Another question - the nunbers and markers are pure lume material. Anybody have any guesses as to how long they'll retain their original color, and how it will age? I have a Tissot that's about 17 years old, and the lume on the hands darkened almost complet........
