I was looking at Hamilton's 1969 price list recently. The price for the consumer was marked up 100%. This is probably still the case today. You would think consumers would be able to negotiate the price the same as is done when shopping for a car. This may be the practice, as I've never bought a watch from any AD, as I only buy vintage on eBay. What kind of discount is likely when purchasing a new watch? (Just trying to educate myself in the event I ever buy something new. )........
