I'll get a pic up soon, but I just needed some brief info on a recent antique fair find. I spotted a fairly nice looking man's 10kt gold filled round Wittnauer, automatic with center second. I balked on it and my 16 year old son decided to purchase it. I think he did very well on it. I'm unfamiliar with Wittnauers, and was trying to date it and get some general info for him. Miyota 8215

So I just got a watch with a 8215 movement. Inexpensive watch, Redline, but I figured with a decent movement it should be okay. I like the watch but noticed that the second hand stops every now and then around the 12 o'clock position. Then I started reading about how quirky this movement is. At first I thought it didn't have enough power, so I wound the crap out of it, and this is after wearing it for half a day. Does this sound like normal quirkiness or does it need to be returned?........

This is a very hard core and hardy buckle strap automatic. It keeps excellent time, is rugged, and not so pricey that you dread a scratch on the crystal. If you need a good work watch, this is it, cheers!
