Speedy - new vs old

Hi guys, I'm debating this right now. First, I love tritium and patina, but yet I'm finding I'm not very tolerant of watches in poor condition. I just sold my sapphire sandwich speedy, with the intent of searching for a Speedy with a hesalite crystal and tritium dial. Then yesterday, I got an older omega and was unhappy with a stretched bracelet and beat up case. I love the IDEA of vintage, but I'm not sure I have the patinece for the potential condition issues.
