I have accumulated 15 or so watches over the past few years and when i was out of town last month i decided i should have my watches insured for obvious reasons. Those of you that do insure your watches, did you need an appraisal on anything over $2500? That is what my insurance co. is telling me. Also is it customary for a omega AD to charge for an appraisal of a piece which i did not buy from them. Can any jewler appraise a omega or does it need to be done by an AD?
