My new - old Hamilton

I just picked this up I was told it is a Milton? I have worn it a few days, it works perfectly, keeps good time and polished up just right. I am undecided about the band though. The watch would probably look better on a nice strap but it is such a small watch and I am a big guy it just looks "more better" on the metal band when on MY wrist...What ya think and can anyone tell me about this watch as far as date, etc? Got this for my husband for Father's Day, and he just loves it. Came in a fancy leather box that can be used for dresser top jewelry. The leather band is comfortable, and the overall look of the watch is very classy, but casual.
