Grey Market questions

My husband bought me a 1911 gold ebel 15 years ago. I think that the dealer added a diamond bezel that was not an ebel bezel and it doesn't have a sapphire crystal. Does anyone have any suggestions what to do with this watch? I wonder if the gold value will now be worth more than any watch value.........
