How do people feel about Marathon Watches?

In asking for advice on a new watch for my upcoming 30th birthday I was given lots of advice on different watches. Although I'm mostly leaning towards a omega or a Tag Carrera for that purchase a Marathin G-SAR was also suggested. I can pick up a Marathon G-SAR at a pretty great price for what seems to be a really nice looking watch. I like the US Government markings as I work for the Government. I also like that it is attractive yet seems super durable as a tool watch, even with the steel brace........
