HiI have an old Mido watch which used to belong to my father. It got full of water in the 1970's? the dial was a mess it then sat in a drawer until the mid 90's. When I looked at it I liked the detail on the dial and the luminous numbers, it was a 'military' dial. I got it serviced to make it go again and (some of you may not like this) got the dial refinished, rather naively assuming it would come back as it originally looked. It didn't, see picture 1.
