hi allsorry if this had already been posted....just saw a movie called "Longitude" about the quest / competition put on in the 1700's by parliment, for a device that would be able to measure longitude for ships while at sea.interesting story (albeit a little slow in parts) about john harrison (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Harrison ) and his quest to gain acceptance of his clocks and eventually his watch. there is also a side story of the restoration of the clocks. heros, villians, exotic ........
