I've been going back and forth with the idea of buying either a 2231 or a 2254 and I got some great feedback from many of you here. As I was reading various posts about these watches I found some people who made modifications to their watches. Such as adding a white gold bezel, changing a dial etc. So I called some authorized repair shops and some shops that work on Omegas just to ask them if a black 2254 bezel will fit on a 2231. I bought the Hamilton "Ansley" below on e-bay when I was in a fever of Hamilton buying several months ago. I thought I had to have an example of every Hamilton model. Once the fever broke, I realized I couldn't possibly afford to own one of every. So I've been trying to sell off those of less interest and restore the one's I like. I'm mostly keeping those with engraved bezels from the 20's and 30's.But I can't seem to part with this one from 1960. Although it's not terribly unique, rare, or ........
