Waltham 18s Pocket watch Help

Here's a couple of picks of an old waltham pocket watch a freind gave me, He knows I love watches, But I'm not familiar with pocket watches and can't really find out much about it. Any help would be great...Age of production and so forth. :) thanks everyone! The back case also has a locomotive on it, My real question is would it be worth restoring? At the moment I think the mainspring is toast, it just winds and winds :(........

The watch has a great look and lots of features, but the directions are a little involved for setup. It takes a little while to gram everything into the watch before initial wear. But after that I have had no blems.
