You first heard about the Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic True Second here on HODINKEE back in September, and the watch, as you would expect from a descendant from the original Geophysic – one of the most famous cult-collectible watches not only from JLC but of all time – generated a lot of excitement. The earlier Geophysic 1958 models, from 2014, which you can take a look at here if you need a quick refresher, were a real crowd pleaser, as you would expect from their very close resemblan........
Just in and restored Zenith.
Just in this Zenith that it needed some attention. The watch is from the 30s not sure of the exact date and is stainless steel; it had some scratches on the steel, crystal and the band which I have since polished out. The luminous materials on the hands were stained black so I redid the hands with new white luminous paint/glue.As is received it before any restoration.Images after restoration.A nice bounce that came with the watch is the stainless steel band which is also collectable. Not many........
