Strange day today (caution small rant ahead)

I was thinking of selling my speedy to try and make ends meet. Earlier I had accidentally nudged the watch off the sidetable beside my bed. Not realizing anything was wrong I carefully cleaned the watch and packed in its original packaging.During the drive to the shop I was feeling really upset as I was going to have to part with my much loved watch.When I got to the shop the watch wasn't functioning correctly and shortly after it stopped completely. Long story short I couldn't sell it. I think ........

Ouch!!!...a cautionary tale....

Day before yesterday, when putting my sport shirt back on from a swim in the pool, my Hammy chrono fell out of my pocket and onto a concrete floor...one of the sub-second hands fell off, the dial was slightly displaced, and it would not run...I dropped it off at a local watchmaker's yesterday...possibly not an expensive repair he says...I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!........

The watch is heavy and substancial and looks great. The links seem really close together which is causing them to get stuck sometimes but I think if I oil them slightly, that will stop.
