Mystery IWC
I have a military watch marked "International Watch Company" with the British arrow symbol below it, and the circled "T" for Tritium below that. THe case is signed "International Watch Company" "Swiss", with the number "918" stamped on it, and a circular IWC logo with two more words I can't read (too small). The watch is manual wind, and the movement says: "R 2609" or "R 2509" and "19 Jewels". The escapement is gold and it runs very well. Can anyone identify it? I think it dates from the mid-60's........
RARE Glycine"High Speed" - Where to find info?
At an estate sale this weekend, I picked up a Glycine. The dial says "high speed," yet the movement is automatic. I'd assume that this meant that the watch used the 3,600 vibration frequency for its movement? The case is all stainless, and the thing is so rare that not even Google has a photo of it. I'd like to learn more about it, but have no idea where to go. Suggestions? Thanks - Boomzilla........
