Vintage Speedmaster opinions welcome
I'm new to this forum, but I have gone a little nutty buying Speedmasters lately. In the last few weeks I have bought the following: 105.003-64, 105.003-65, 145.012-67, and now an 861 from 1969. I'm planning some service and part swapping, etc for the watches, but I would like to know what you Speedmaster guys think of patina. The 64 pre pro watch is totally original...in fact it hasn't been serviced since 1977.....you read that right....1977. It's still running strong and keeping good time........
The Forum's First Wakmann
I've looked all over for a reference on the forum for Wakmann watches but there isn't any. So here is mine: This watch was given to me about 20 years ago. He had it when he was going for a private pilots license. I've had it repaired once but died on me right in the middle of a trip to Japan (maybe the aura of all those Seikos and Casios killed it ). Anyway, As I understand it that Wakmann's are Breitling's under American license. I don't see any markings on the movement that suggest that this ........
