1927 Hamilton round wristwatch
You guys have been so helpful, and I was thinking about returning this eBay purchase that just showed up today. It's from 1927, and the pictures on the auction didn't show the wear-through on some of the bottom edges of the gold-filled case (at least, I missed it). I haven't been able to locate any pictures of a watch like this from this vintage; it has the 986A movement and is not a cushion.. all the examples I've seen are cushion or not round. Is this an unusual enough style to consider kee........

Well, actually, I love the watch in question - and that's the problem.I have just walked past a Longines AD at lunchtime today and they have 40% (yes, you read it correctly) off a Grand Vitesse on SS bracelet - just like Wombat's.I know I have posted before that I want to hold out for a TAG Carrera instead, but I just can't see ever finding the TAG at that kind of price.And speaking of price - we're talking $2370NZD, which is $1679USD, or $1829Australian.But if I get this now, I'll have nothing ........
