__Patek Philippe 5960R & 5960G....how do you like their dials ?
(Credit to the original image before edit: Patek Philippe S.A. )First of all - I love RG watches and I love 5960.....'P' that is. To be completelyhonest - my feelings about 5960R are a little lukewarm....Yes, still a gorgeouswatch, but RG case is so nice and warm...and I was hoping for a little moreclassic execution of the dial with RG case - no red.blue colors. When 5960P came out I hear a lot of people moaning about the blue and red color on the dial. Granted - not everyone's cup of tee butobv........
Do watches need to be kept running?
Do watches that need to be wound need to be kept wound? If I had a watch that only got occasional duty (say once a week) and so spend days at a time stopped, would that cause any long term problems? Should it be pulled out and wound every day even if not being worn?I know that many mechanical devices will seize up if not operated regularly; I'm guessing the same will happen to a watch. But would a wear every week or so be enough to keep it running?........
