As you know, I bought a Gruen triple date off ebay last week and it wasn't quite the item describe.In the listing, the movement was described as serviced and the condition of the watch "very fine to pristine."I sent it into my watch guy because the date hand didn't work and he sent me this back today:" I also received the Gruen triple date and took it apart for cleaning. Which of these three Hamilton's do I buy. Tough choice!!!

I'm looking at getting my first Hamilton. I saw one, the all black Subzero at an AD in Panama and went back to the store five times while on vacation. Just could not pull the trigger.Here are the links at the Hamilton site. I've narrowed it down to these three. The all black is the only one that comes with BOTH a rubber and a metal strap which I like. But I just wonder in low light situations if you can even see the dial. FOVEVER I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR A WHITE WATCH WITH GOLD TONE METAL AND THIS WATCH FITS THE BILL. IT HAS SOME HEFT WHICH I LOVE AND WOULD EXPECT BUT BY NO MEANS IS IT TOO HEAVY. FITS FLAT AND CONTOURS TO THE WRIST PERFECTLY.

Chopard 27/6677-23/11, Really good!

In a nutshell, I think the watch is just 'okay'. I use it as a weekend watch for outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking, etc.
My first thought out of the box was it seems cheap for a $235 watch. Looks cheap too. I expected it to be a heavier watch but its very, very light weight. It seems to function okay and I like the sunset / sunrise feature as well as compass / barometer feature.

I sort of expected to be blown away by the watch based on the reviews but I'm just luke warm on it. I guess that's more due to looks than the functionality. (i.e. looks cheap) Hopefully the watch is as durable as folks say it is. If that's the case, I'll be happy with it. Time will tell....
