Patek Box Question - why does the interrior go sticky?
Hello,I have a friend who bought a 5010 used and it came complete with box and papers.Unfortunately the Patek coffin box (from papers dated 2002) interror has turned gooey. Very sticky like wet paint and actually comes off in places.Why does this happen?Will Patek replace the box and what is the cost?Seems a bit sad to have such a lovely watch and the box is yucky..piece did come from Singapore so perhaps it is a climate issue.........
