Royal Orients and Grand Seikos

I'm a big Orient fan and am looking to get either a Royal Orient or Grand Seiko in the not so distant future. Does anyone have thoughts or experience on how the Royal Orient caliber 88700 stacks up to the movement in a similar Grand Seiko I guess it closest equivalent would be the Seiko 9S55.It's easy to find lots of info and opinions on Grand Seiko movements, but info on Orient movements is very hard to come by.Thanks.........
