Question about the 7750 movement

I have a Hamilton Jazzmaster Maestro, brand new, the rotor spins like crazy, is it suppose to do that? This and a recently purchased Viewmatic are my first and only Automatics, so I don't know how they are suppose to behave. The Viewmatic doesn't do this.........
