Praise for Wolf Designs
I received a Wolf Designs rotator as a gift a little while back and I currently live in Australia. It recently stopped working. Desperately I called Steve at Wolf designs in L.A. and asked him if it might be possible for me to send it to them and pay for repairs and shipping. However the air mail postage costs back and forth to Wolf Designs were prohibitive. What Steve offered then was simply for me to send him a picture of the rotator and agree to pay for the replacement rotator's shipping cost........
Second of three Scotts (1951)
Interesting that Hamilton reused this model name not twice, but thrice. This 1951 version is my latest arrival, last of 2011. The movement is a 982-M. List price in 1951 was $200, one of the most expensive in their line-up (for comparison, the 14K Gilbert was $125). I only have 3 post-1950 Hamiltons, including this (the others are a Gilbert and Flight II). Most of you guys have quite a lot of '50s-60s stuff, I know; I've just been getting my feet wet. ........
