40mm PAM...Bad Choice??

Still looking for my white faced watch (sigh) and my choices are slim. omega has the Explorer II and Panerai has two, the 113 and a 40mm white dial with a date.I have two omega at 40mm and various Omega's ranging from 41mm to 45mm (Planet Ocean Chrono). I really don't want another big watch so the 40mm would fit the bill...or I am I wrong???How does a 40mm PAM compare to an Explorer II at 40mm? Does the PAM appear bigger with or without the bezel?I don't have a PAM dealer here where I live so ........

What Book About American Wrist Watches Got it Right, This One Did NOT!

Hey guys!I ordered my copy of "American Wristwatches, Five Decades of Style & Design" a few days ago and it arrived about 30 minutes ago. I was VERY excited to see what it had to say so I opened it at once. After about 15 minutes I became VERY disappointed! I found no less than five major mistakes within the Elgin military watches alone! Wrong dates that the dials were available, wrong hands, wrong movement jewel counts that were available that year in certain grades and so on! I paid $50.00........
