All,For those of you familiar with my book " The Illinois Watch -The Life and Times of a Great American Watch Company" one if its most popular and unique features was the inserts throughout the book involving the "Fantastic Finds". I collected stories from dozens of collectors describing how they found Illinois watches in unusual places or uncovered great bargains or had interesting stories to tell about finding a watch. Long(ish) term review of Longines Grande Vitesse
I have had this watch for nearly three months now. It wasn't a planned purchase - I didn't even it on my radar as a possibility! I was browsing watches at a local jeweler that sells Longines and Tag. Earlier in the year I had a Tag Aquaracer on my wishlist, but it has slid off of late. So I thought I would go and have another look at them and at some of the other Tags. I tried on a Carrera and a Monaco and quite liked them both. But then I walked over to the Longines display.Normally in my town ........
