Help dating vintage omega pre moon
I have a omega speedmaster with case # 145.012 , movement is a 321 and serial # starts with 265 . What I have found is that serial # is for 1968, but I thought in 1968 omega was using the 861 movement. I'm confused....so any info would be greatly appreciated. I found this watch in a storage unit I won at an auction. Also I'm sending it to USA watch service for cleaning and service so ill post pre and post photos when I get it back.........
Point me in the right direction re: RR Approved pocketwatches
First off, let me explain that I'm not a current collector of pocketwatches, but I do like them nonetheless. I'm primarily a vintage Accutron collector, but have a soft spot for vintage Bulovas and a few others. I currently own two Railroad Approved Accutrons (both tuning fork models from the 60's) and love the dial style, and the fact that the Accutron was the first RR Approved wristwatch.
