Hello forum. I have recently become infatuated with vintage Hamiltons, since inheriting my Grandfather's 10k gold Parker. I'm looking to acquire another specimen, and of course have turned to eBay, where you're always likely to pay too much. Hamilton overload! There are some great Hamiltons up right now (holy cow, how 'bout those Coronados at $3.5K+++!). I'm trying to relax and do my homework. But I am an impulse buyer and with so many nice watches just a click away, well, I fear something ........

Bremont MBII "worth" it?

I know, a loaded question. Looked around for an existing thread on the MBII but didn't find one. It uses a SOPROD ETA movement yes? Listed as:"Modified calibre 13 1/4 BE-36AE automatic chronometer, 25 jewels, glucydur balance. Anachron balance spring, Nivaflex 1 mainspring, 28,800 bph, 38 hour power reserve, Bremont moulded and skeletised decorated rotor."So, I'm wondering if the 4K ish (MSRP at the one dealer in my area) reflects what may be considered good value for the price. This material is substandard. It is no where near to the item presented on air. Color very poor, poorly finished. Too bad, I wanted a nice lapis watch. I don't feel we should pay for returns when the duct is not as represented.
