OK, we know that some were named after famous explorers. So we have one that is named after, well not Amundsen but the one who missed the golden goal. Others like the Byrd, Livingston or Andrews, Stanley,...And at least one of the electrics was named after an employee. But what's the thing behind all the other strange names?
