Tell me about moon phase watches please!

I currently have one moon phase watch. It's a Seiko that I bought about 20 years age, and I have never really paid attention to the moon phase feature.Do most moon phase watches stay correct over time, or do they need occasional resetting like the date on non-perpetual calendar watches?My guess is that if the watch is accurate and it is kept running the moon phase will remain correct once set, since the moon phase isn't a man made construct such as the days of the month.FYI, on the Seiko the mo........

I did not receive the instuctions with the watch. I had to call supplier to recive it. I have received it. I like a leather band, the large face,and it is easy to read. I have not used it enough to talk about the function.
