Question about TAG movements

Can anyone tell me if Tag movements are box stock ETA these days, or are they refinished in some way?Also, I ask the same question about their quartz chrono watches.Are they standard ETA movements, or what?I like some of the styles, but I want to know more about them before I buy.Thanks-Pete........
