Newbie Manual Wind 101 Question
As a vintage watch newbie I'd appreciate some advice. I recently received my first manual wind watch being a 1956 Seamaster cal 248 17j. The dealer in the US has told me that it was running, but has no service history.When fully wound it runs, keeping quite accurate time, but stops after about 15hrs. I imagined that a correctly running manual movement should run for at least 24hrs. If so, should I expect a simple service to correct the problem or should it be pulled down completely to get it wor........
