Need help on model and year of nice vintage Longines

I bought this 14k gold Longines watch at an estate sale about twenty years ago and recently became curious about it. Did an internet search to try to id the model and year - with no success. The watch is in its original presentation case, appears to have the original leather band and is in overall spectacular condition. Does anyone here have any thoughts on what model/year it might be? I am guessing late 40s There is one just like it for sale on eBay ($850 OBO) with replacement band and no ca........

This watch is great. it looks a lot better in person than it does in the picture. overall it has been very reliable, and very simple to use. Also, the watch is pretty heavy compared to other watches i have had. i would recommend this to anybody.

IWC 3712, Really good!

This watch is quite elegant...but can be worn anytime of day. Very unique...presents like a 4 figure watch.The color is very nice...looks good both on my very pale skin...and when I have a tan!!
