Went to see my watchmaker today, and he delivered on his promise of some interesting watches for me. First he showed me a rectangular 18K yg manual wind engine-turned dial Omega from the late 70's, then a great 18K rg (20 pennyweights of gold in the case! - that's almost $700 at scrap value even after the $50 drop per ounce in the last day) Bucherer chronograph with a Frederic Piguet mecaquartz hybrid movement. Okay, he's got me really interested with both of these, but there not quite jumping........

But a TV personality has an Invicta watch dial as part of a tattoo on his forearm.Since it's his arm and the art has personal meaning, I respect his decision - but I'm stunned anyone would do this.Of course, I don't have any tattoos and I'm definitely old fashioned.
