Can someone help me date my Hamilton Ladies Watch?

It came in the original box and has a handwritten note inside that reads "Hamilton 997 Grade 17 Jewels Movement L.124912 case - 392721". I looked at the Hamilton numbers charts online and it seems maybe 1900-1901, but I know basically nothing about watches and want to be sure. Thank you in advance for any help.........
