As I posted on the omega forum, this is my Grandfathers watch. My Grandfather used to own a flying school and the Navi was given to him as a gift for training someone to fly. He never wore it and gave it to my Mum to look after until I was old enough to wear it. I had a New NOS crystal and a movement overhaul with NOS parts done 5-6 years ago. Project Watch Club: 18K Omega Seamaster
Last year I enlisted a little help from a fellow member & Omega collector to help me search for one of my grails. I was not having much luck finding a solid gold Seamaster from the late 50's or early 60's. The reason was I didn't want another of the normal 55x (no date) or 56x (date at 3) calibers you see so many of. Not that they're bad - on the contrary, they are some of the best Omega ever made - but I have a 561 gold capped pie pan from 1961 so I wanted something out of the ordinary. ........
