Does a face change alter watch ?

I'm very close to finally getting a PAM 127 . The owner said when he got it he sent it in for routine service.Panerai replaced the face due to a tiny pin sized discoloration on the face.Would this alter the ''ORIGINALITY '' of the Fiddy for potential future collectors?Maybe a stupid question but I own a 60' Vette . Alter anything and you change the numbers matching status , thus effecting future value. Thanks guys.........

IWC IW5242-04, Really good!

The watch is priced right, looks good, has many features, and is easy to set time, date, year etc. The metal watchband had to have some links removed to comfortably fit my wrist.
