Battery dead ??

Hi. This is my first post. Great site.I have bought my second Hamilton. C***co had a bacic Kahki filed watch for $118.00. Took it home and it doesnt work ??? Stupid question but is there some way of starting the mechanism or is the battery dead. The sticker on the back says to replace the battery prior to 04/10 !! So it should be good.p.s. my other Hamilton is a LLBean I bought 18 yrs ago...an automatic field watch which is no longer made.Thanks.........

this watch is so flashy. i looove the color, it makes any outfit pop! i would definitely not recommend this for formal wear though. but it's great if you are wearing a one-tone outfit.
