  IWC is dedicating a limited edition pilots watch to pilot and poet Antoine de Saint Exupry to mark the 75th anniversary of his novel Night Flight (Vol de Nuit), first published in 1931. This figure also represents the number of watches in the limited edition: 1630 in stainless steel, 250 in 18 ct. rose gold (THIS version), 50 in 18 ct. white gold and one C in this case, not for sale C in platinum. This watch will be auctioned for a good cause at the end of 2006, together with a copy of the first edition of Night Flight with a handwritten dedication by the author. This rose gold special edition is a professional pilots watch whose tobacco-coloured dial is set off by small silver-plated inner dials. The hour counter disc contains the initial A from Antoine de Saint Exuprys signature. The back of the case features an engraved portrait of the pilot in his flying suit. Each watch is supplied with a copy of Night Flight that also contains hitherto unpublished illustrative material. The strap is brown calfskin leather and has a rose gold pin buckle. Antoine de Saint Exupry, whose job as a pilot often took him into extremely dangerous situations, would have loved this timepiece.
