I've been wondering what the most important things to avoid are when wearing a mechanical wristwatch to avoid having it become magnetized. I'm sure it shouldn't be close to a running microwave of course but what kinds of problems can be caused by other things like laptop computers and other common appliances? I suppose the newer watches are more resistant but I'm more concerned with the vintage models like the 1948 Hamilton Lester I recently acquired.........
