..........I think I might have gotten a good deal here .....whatcha think ? ......a 1909 South Bend, 7 jewel, 260 grade, model 1, stem wind, lever set .....what is caled a Victory case, ( I am assuming it is some white metal....not white gold filled, ......any help on that would be apprieciated) ......anyway, here's the watch without the bezel and crystal......the movement:and the watch with the crystal .....how would you rate the condition of this watch ......oh and it is running just fine.............
Chinese Made "Swiss" Watches?
There is a debate going on in the Hamilton forum about a member who opened up his new Hamilton watch because of a defect only to find the words, "Hamilton China", engraved on the inside and he is pretty irked by it.I can tell you, so am I! I have a Hamilton X Wind and I bought it partly because I thought, or was led to believe, that it was "Swiss Made". But now I'm not so sure. This opens up alot of questions, like is Hamilton actually Swiss made, or is it made in China or do they use inferior C........
