While examining my newly overhauled Hamilton Heyward (see pic below) just back from the watch doctor, I dropped the movment on my dining room hardwood floorI would not recommend this course of action to other Hamilton collectors.I sent the watch back to my watch doctor, and he said the balance staff could no longer be repaired. My only recourse is to get a replacement movement.The movement number on this watch is Hamilton 987-E serial number 4511688. I believe it dates to 1936 or so.Does anyon........

Gday AllNext on the list, somewhere in the next few months, is a Hamilton.So far the plan has been to go for the winner of the WTF $500-1,000 popularity poll, a Khaki of some sort. (Most probably something with a plain face - an Officer perhaps). A variety of reasons, but basically I can see the merit in having something that others like/want.Lately however I've been wondering whether an old Hammy may be the way to go; something like a Perry (love the look) or a Lowell (dream on stales....) - ........
