Omega vs omega Second hand sweep
I have an Omega SMP 2538.20 (Great white) and was comparing the second hand sweep to my brother's omega Sub ND. Though they both have the same bph of 28,800 I couldn't help but notice that the sweep on the omega was smoother than the Omega. I can count the 8 ticks per second on both watches, but can't figure out why the jump is more noticeable on the OmegaAny clue?........
Granby Pocket Watch, any insight?
I picked up this pocket watch at an antique store yesterday while traveling in Austin Texas. Of late I have become interested in vintage pocket watches and this looked interesting when I saw it in the store. Unfortunately, my knowledge of watches is very limitedIt is not working and the movement seems to be in rough shape. I am hoping I might be able to get it repaired when I get back home.I have been trying to find some information on this watch through google searches with no luck at all. ........
