GMT bezel question

Sorry guys, I had posted this question on another thread but I think my question was just buried with other responses pertaining to the main thread. My question is about the GMT watch. Some have a 2 colored bezel and some don't. For example one half is blue and one half is red. Or Black and red. Is a 2 part colored bezel used for anything or is it just for looks? I have heard that it can be used to tell day from night. If that is the case then can someone provide instructions on how that is used........

Watch looks good and gets lots of compliments from the ladies... simple and sexy design, the watch feels heavy (but not overly so) with a large bezel around the face. Nixon is one of the best brands for watches hands down.

I love my watch as it captures a wealth of information and is not bulky like other watches. The only negative is that it is a complicated watch to use.
