Got spliced a couple of years ago. As a gift for my bestman I gave him a Benrus Wrist Alarm SS watch from the 50's. It's identical to one I have from my Dad. Beautiful creamy dial, and working great. I had it completely overhauled before I gave it to him and put a nice black strap on it. He wears it to Lodge and when dressed up. Today we went to a funeral for a Lodge brother's wife, and he was wearing it and I was wearing mine. They looked identical. He told me that last week he was in a meeting........

Here is a Wenger watch that has a simple but very eye catching design. It has a ETA 805.111-2 movement which is late 70's early 80's design. Plus the watch is unusual because it endorses Philip Morris tobacco company and its brand Marlboro. In Late 80's to date companies do not very often endorse tobacco companies. Many people only collect mechanical high-end new and old designed watches, however like the post title states a simple design can also be elegant. I short if you like it wear it.When........
