Question on Calatrava 5127
I recently purchased my first Patek, a Calatrava 5127J, at the official boutique in Tokyo (late April 2013). Upon delivery, I was rather surprised to find that the movement was the 315/290, rather than the 324 SC. The dealer said he had taken delivery of the watch only last year (2012), so it hadn't been in stock that long. However, so far as I can tell, production of the 315 caliber was phased out as long ago as 2008, and the 324 SC was being installed in many Patek models from around 2005-6. D........
