A fun little project I just finished putting together!
I picked up this minerva set of chronograph movement, dial, hands, crown and stem a while back with the thought of making this come to life.I had this nice little burl wood lathed box made and some brass finishings, along with a long tube for activating the chronograph since this would be a difficult task given the distance between crown and movement. I also had the stem elongated for this reason.Here is how it turned out along with a rough step by step........
2nd Day of Ownership.
Hi, this is my second day of omega Submariner ownership and thought Id post a few pictures of it. Theres a bit of a story behind buying this watch, 10 years ago I bought my first omega, also a Submariner; new from my local dealer in Stratford, UK. I later sold it on a whim and regretted it ever since.It was my 40th. Birthday last week and thought what the hell, and walked into the same shop and repeated history, although this time I intend to keep this beauty a lot longer. Regards,John. ........
