How many years before the bracelets stretch ??

Based on some veterans experience,how many years of countinuos wearing will take to have the braceletes stretch and therefore having those links clearly separated from another ?? That's a ugly sight to me !!! That's the usual sporty bracelet I'm talking about ( SD,SB)How many yeard to you reckon ?? I've seen some 15 years old SB stretched beyond imagination............
