Just in: New (to me) '28 Elgin...move over Illinois Atlantic!
Look what came in the mail today...Although a less elaborate version of the highly engraved (and extra wide) Illinois Atlantic cases, I think this one will be a real gem once it gets the TLC it deserves.I'm also curious how many of these are still floating around, since the Atlantic XL's seem to be few and far between.........
Please Help with my newest acquisition.
My newest acquistionIf anyone has any history or information on this watch it would be greatly appreciated. The watch maker who serviced it thought it was circa 1940's. The face is a linen material with diferent shades of brown and gold. It's really very stunning in person....please help me with any history of this interesting piece since we don't have a vintage forum for pieces like this....Thanks Everyone!........
